This garden in Duleek we redesigned and built had numerous problems. Very poor drainage due to the quality of the top soil and subsoil and with their two dogs was wet and mucky with poor grass nearly all year round. Also the use of space was poor due to many features too close together, a deck, garden shed and patio and border plants. We paved the entire area with Oldbridge’s French limestone and Aztec sun central feature. Fitted a closed pipe to take hot tub outlet pipe and a linear drain in the patio to collect surface water when cleaning patio and a land drain and sump connected to storm drains to take ground water and drain garden. The results speak for themselves!.

In this garden in Drogheda our clients wished to have their garden upgraded to include a raised patio that would complement the rear of their house and garden and would be easy to look after but look good year round. We created a raised patio with Tobermore Shannon heather coloured bricks with two 3m Indian sandstone circles as central features. Raised kerb beds with a brick mowing edge and new plants, landscape fabric and bark mulch brought much needed shape and colour back to their garden with very pleasing results.

For this garden in Drogheda the client led a busy working life and wished to have a low maintenance garden which would look great all year round and provide him a place to relax and enjoy the summer weather and also be a place to smoke outdoors. We gravelled the main part of the garden with Donegal quartz and Indian sandstone stepping stones and created raised sleeper beds with a mixture of cottage perennials and small shrubs. While the timber deck under a enclosed sheltered pergola created a very pleasant outdoor room for him to enjoy with little future maintenance.

This garden in Drogheda Co. Louth, the client Gabrielle, wished to have some shape and colour brought into her garden and borders which would be easy to maintain and be a place for their kids to enjoy also. Kerbed raised beds with bark mulch and landscape fabric along with a nice combination of architectural plants such as grasses and bamboos and cottage perennials boosted the existing planting. Painting the wall and adding trellis added a warm backdrop to the garden and plants and took the cold look off the existing grey block walls. A 4m Indian sandstone patio with brick mowing edge completed the picture with a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the garden making the most of the sun throughout the day.

This garden in Balbriggan was in need of a complete makeover as it provided little beauty and practicality to this medium sized garden used by all the family. We decided on creating a curvilinear styled garden with a timber pergola and raised beds to create structure along with a carefully chosen planting scheme of box hedging, cottage perennials, silver birches and Japanese maples which suited Emer and John’s tastes. Painting the walls and adding trellis added a warm backdrop to the garden and plants and took the cold look off the existing grey block walls. Three circle Indian sandstone patios ranging from 3m to 5m in diameter created a flowing curving direction through the garden and ample room to sit out on. Stepping stones between thyme covered ground towards the shed and screened area for wheelie bins created a soft and scented path way when walked on. Trellis on the walls and strategic c placing of the trampoline on a gravel bed to the left corner of the house and garden lighting both standard and spot, illuminates the pergola and trees and paving and completes this aesthetically beautiful yet functional garden.

For this garden in Swords co. Dublin the client wanted a complete makeover as his garden was in a very poor state after the winter months. He also wished for a low maintenance styled garden as he and his partner were busy people and wanted to spend there free time in the garden especially in the summer months. I came up with a solution which afforded them the time to enjoy the garden with little work but tending to the grass when needed. Warm reds and pinks of the paving, plants and stone created a warm picture to enjoy all year round.

For this front garden in Griffith Ave co. Dublin the clients wished to have their driveway paved with gold coloured granite cobble sets as a path and gravelled with complementing decorative gravel so that they could park both their cars in their driveway. Beds were also to be incorporated into the design with space also for access to their wheelie bins. They had already come up with their own plan and with a few considered design amendments from us were implemented to achieve their wishes.
